Theme: Unbound | Psalm 119:105

The Next Step, Not the Whole Path

Nine women came to Zion this August, and none of them knew exactly what the week would hold. That was by design. Each morning brought a plan that could shift by afternoon, a trail that asked more than expected, a moment that had nothing to do with the schedule at all. And every time, the women leaned in rather than resisted.

Unbound: Free to Follow became more than a theme. It became the way this group moved through the week. They didn't need to see the whole path stretched out ahead of them. They only needed to be free enough to take the next step, trusting the One who lit it. Psalm 119:105 became less a verse they knew and more a way they lived, one day, one decision, one trail marker at a time.

And they didn't do it alone. From the first morning to the last, one promise held the group together: no one gets left behind. Not on the climbs, not in the hard conversations, not in the quiet moments when doubt crept in. Nine women walked into the wilderness. Nine women walked out changed, not because everything went according to plan, but because they let it not.

"Life-changing, unforgettable, fire-igniting. I felt safe, loved, seen, heard, accepted, respected, served, and honored by this community of women. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you will be in the presence of God, and you'll never be the same."

More Than a Hike

Our days moved to our WILD rhythm: walking in worship, igniting faith, leaning on community, dwelling in God's Word.

Early morning coffee, early morning hikes. Coming together over meals, over Scripture, over teaching and quiet reflection. Worship that carried into more meals, more stories, more laughter, more community.

Simple evenings, honoring the work our bodies did and the God who moved us out on the trail.

And in all of those moments, big and small, God so often showed up.

Psalm 23 reminded them that even in a wilderness they didn't choose, they were being led, to green pastures, beside still waters, with a Shepherd who restores. John 10:10 reminded them why they came at all, not for a lesser life, but for the abundant one Jesus promised. And Psalm 119:105 was the thread that ran through every step of it, a lamp for the next footfall, not a floodlight for the whole trail.

God met every one of them exactly where they were.

Nine women. Free enough to follow. Never alone.

“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.”
